Wedakarna Supports Hindus to Preserve Vedic Values

Denpasar, (16/7) – Regional Representative Council of the Republic of Indonesia for Bali constituency, Shri I Gusti Ngurah Arya Wedakarna, supported the Hindus through International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) of Indonesia Chapter to preserve the values of the Vedic scriptures.
“I do not imagine the development of devotees (worshipers) that is so rapid both in terms of quantity and quality,” said Wedakarna in Denpasar. This was stated when attending the Chariot Festival of Sri Jagannatha Ratha Yatra Nusantara 2019 at the Bajra Sandi Field, Renon Denpasar.
For this reason, the activity can be an example and carried out continuously without worrying because it is able to apply Vedic values even though there are some parties, like orthodox group, that still have not understood about the practices of these values. Meanwhile, the millennial generations are quite enthusiastic and accept the teachings used as life guidelines.
Nevertheless, his party is still optimistic that the ongoing education of understanding will be accepted by all parties. The effort is intended to strengthen Hindus who are in a minority condition compared to other adherents.
“On that account, let’s unite and support one another among the Hindus colleagues,” he hoped. On that occasion, Wedakarna also took part in pulling the chariot of Sri Jagannath and visiting the festival stand. (ART/02)
