India–Bali Spice & Sand Cup 2026 Celebrates Cricket, Community and India–Indonesia Friendship

Badung (Atnews) - Consulate General of India (CGI), Bali, in collaboration with the Indonesian Cricket Association (PCI), organised the India–Bali Spice & Sand Cup 2026 on 19 September 2026 at the Udayana Cricket Ground, Jimbaran.
Now in its third edition, the annual cricket tournament has emerged as a special gathering for the Indian diaspora and the cricket fraternity in Bali, providing a platform to celebrate a shared passion for the sport while fostering closer people-to-people connections and strengthening the bonds of friendship between India and Indonesia.
The event was graced by Consul General of India, Dr. Shashank Vikram, who addressed the gathering and highlighted the important role of sport, particularly cricket, in bringing communities together, creating meaningful connections and deepening people-to-people ties between India and Indonesia.
The programme was also attended by Mr. Abhiram Singh Yadav, Chairman of the Indonesian Cricket Association (PCI), and Mr. IGN Made Sunar Darmayasa, representative of the Bali Provincial Department of Education, Youth and Sports, along with players, members of the Indian diaspora, representatives of the cricket community and cricket enthusiasts.
A highlight of the event was the friendship match between the Indonesian National Cricket Team and members of the Indian diaspora in Bali. The match featured spirited performances, skillful play and enthusiastic support from spectators, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere at the Udayana Cricket Ground.
Beyond the sporting contest, the match provided an opportunity for players and members of both communities to interact, exchange experiences and celebrate their shared enthusiasm for cricket. The event underscored the role of sport as a platform for cultural exchange, community engagement and friendship between India and Indonesia.
The India–Bali Spice & Sand Cup 2026 concluded on a strong note of camaraderie, reaffirming the potential of cricket to foster friendship, mutual understanding and closer people-to-people ties between the two countries.
